Lace trimmings

American lacewood...

Its also known as sycamore but its more than that. The concept of lace is that final detail that just makes everything that much more special. Think panties, curtains, dresses, etc.

Lac, on the first thought, in and of itself reminds me... of grandmas house. Those intricate doilies,and trimmed table cloth. Grandma loved to embroider.

I have such vivid memoriesof going to grandmas and seeing her sewing. Taking extra care to trim my cousins prom dress and add just the right amount of frills. And I remember asking grandma while we cooked dinner, why was the lace important?

Her response...anyone can do lace,or wear lace, but hardly anyone can do it right. Wear it right. 

And that's all I could think about as this pen came together.  Anyone can messaround and make a pen with sycamore. But I want to do it right, and use it right.

Everythingwe do in life should be like that. We must strive to do it right. As correctly as humanly possible. It's okay to fail and make mistakes, its how we learn.

And this pen is a constant reminderof that, strive to be right and do right by others.
